In the dark and forgotten places of the world lie relics of great power: amulets, rings, and belts that imbue the wearer with strange abilities, the likes of which have never been seen in Thedas. Their origin is unknown, but some say they were crafted by the Dalish, others the dwarves, and some say it was a guy named Bob.
To unravel this mystery, the Inquisition has turned to you, dear player. Starting July 15, 2015, we will be accepting your submissions for the Untold Relics of Thedas contest. Using the ability list found here, we want you to create a new and exciting accessory item for possible inclusion in Dragon Age: Inquisition.
Maybe it’s something you wish you had in battle, like a killing amulet of ultra-damage, or perhaps it’s something that you plain and simple want to know exists, like the Rainbow King’s Ring of Prismatic Resistance.
Whatever your motivation, we want you to create a new accessory for Dragon Age: Inquisition, along with an interesting name and backstory for it. Make it funny, make it mysterious, make it sad, but above all else, make sure it affects gameplay in an interesting and unique way. Whether it’s high risk/high reward or encourages nonstandard min-maxing, we want items that will get your fellow Inquisitors thinking about how they play in new ways.
To enter, submit an email to (Relics@BioWare.com) including your name, date of birth, email, and idea for the item.
The contest closes on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 11:59 P.M. PST. Three winners will be chosen by our panel of judges on or after July 29. Entries will be judged for their creativity, originality, appropriateness to the topic, and how they impact gameplay.
The winning accessories may be included as new content in Dragon Age: Inquisition, and the winners will receive a Dragon Age: Inquisition prize pack.
You can find the full contest rules here and a list of attributes that can be modified here.
Good luck, and happy crafting.
