gamescom day 1

Posted on

We are blogging to you live from gamescom 2010 in Cologne, Germany. To be more specific from a dark little corner inside the Dragon Age 2 booth with my laptop perched upon a box of inflatable staffs.

Working the Booth

The show this year is amazing and bigger than ever. BioWare has a massive presence with both SWTOR and Dragon Age 2 being hands on to the public for the first time ever. Although we are bringing the show to North America via PAX this September you can get a glimpse of what is going on in the DA2 booth by checking out our live stream here: The live stream from a show is a first for BioWare (bear with us) and we are looking to add more live team interviews and other live content for fans.

A bit of a Wait

The action at the booths has been amazing with some of the largest queues of the show. Unfortunately that means three hour waits to play, so kudos to our fans and their amazing stamina. At least while they are waiting we are handing out tons of swag, getting pictures taken with Hawkes staff and placing blood tattoos on any piece of exposed flesh. All in all a great time.

David Silverman presenting DA2 to press

The team has been crazy busy showing the game to hundreds of press and from what I have been reading so far the game has been showing very well and has already been nominated for two “Best of Show” awards.

I should also mention that is having a 20% gamescom sale. Just enter the promo code “gamescom10” for your discount and don’t forget we ship internationally.
